For my In-Depth Project, I wanted to layout a peaceful mind set that I dreamed about. These past couple of weeks have been a little rough in regards to Irma and other difficulties and I envisioned a peaceful place with steady voyages and an endless atmosphere. Just to take a good breath and meditate a place of bliss.

My three choices of material that I used for the two small works were wood, colored pencils, and charcoal. I used plywood as my background and did an observation on the grain of the wood and how it produced a kind of background. So I wanted to use most of the natural material and I drew a statue and gate in my front yard and placed them in the foreground while the wood grain projected the background.

For this piece, I used the wood grain to construct the art work by following the grain and made a drawing based on the natural material.

I constructed a cargo ship using playing cards as my first object. playing cards can be used for a lot of things. Sometimes they can be used for making card houses. I have a fascination with vessels, ships, and voyages and I wanted to see how the result would turn out if I made a boat out of playing cards.

As I was searching for material in my home, I noticed that I had a lot of old wires and broken headphones. I wanted to use these materials very loosely to observe and construct an object with just using the wires. After a few twists and slight adjustments, I saw an outline depicting a kind of sea creature.

In my living room I have a table with two movable components. Both of these components have  mirrors on top of them, and one component is slightly raised higher then the other. I wanted to place an object above the table while adjusting the mirrors and I saw how they reflected the object in a different perspective and how it chanced their original appearance.
